June is the annual observance and celebration of LGBTQ+ pride. Although the societal contributions of this group should be celebrated year-round, we at Ethical Side Effects want to bring awareness and support by dedicating the entirety of our proceeds received in June 2023 to the National LGBTQ Task Force, an organization focused on year-round engagement to increase the visibility and rights of LGBTQIA+ individuals nationally. Gay & Lesbian Medical Association (GLMA)
A national organization made up of healthcare professionals and community members committed to not only ensuring health equity for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and all sexual and gender minority (SGM) individuals, but they also advocate for the equality of LGBTQ+ healthcare professionals in their work environments
The Fenway Institute
An institute that advocates for and delivers innovative, equitable, accessible health care, supportive services, and transformative research and education. Their focus is centered on LGBTQIA+ people, BIPOC individuals, and other underserved communities to enable growth of healthcare research and resources.
National Coalition for LGBTQ Health
This coalition is committed to improving the health and well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals through federal and local advocacy, education, and research. The Coalition strives to address the entire LGBTQ+ community, including individuals of every sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, race, ethnicity, and age regardless of disability, income, education, and geography. The Coalition is an initiative of HealthHIV, a national nonprofit focused on health equity through education and training.
Human Rights Campaign
HRC’s campaigns are focused on mobilizing those who envision a world strengthened by diversity, where our laws and society treat all people equally, including LGBTQ+ people and those who are multiply marginalized.
Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN)
Every day GLSEN works to ensure that LGBTQ students are able to learn and grow in a school environment free from bullying and harassment. Their aim is to transform our nation’s K-12 schools into the safe and affirming environment all youth deserve.
